Commission A Custom Pet Portrait

I offer pet portraits in two different mediums. For a realistic, highly detailed portrait I suggest my colored pencil portrait. For a portrait with an artistic flare with flowing colors, I offer watercolor portraits.

Colored Pencil Portraits

If you're looking for a life-like, highly detailed portrait this is what you'll get with colored pencils. This is a slow, laborious process that blends suttle colors together to create the depth and realism the medium is famous for. All materials are of the highest quality and I only use 100% cotton rag paper and professional grade pencils.

Watercolor Portraits

This is were I get to "let my hair down" and go with the spontaneous freedom that watercolor allows. My watercolor portraits are full of movement and a unique blend of colors that cannot be replicated. This is art in it's most honest form. 100% rag museum grade paper combined with professional grade prigments for a truly "one-off" portrait.

2024 Commission Price List

Prices are based on one subject, and the sizes are based on paper size. Your portrait will be sized within the paper area. Once mounted, the portrait will fit into a standard, off the shelf frame. (US & UK only) Other European frames may differ. If you'd like to request a custom size please be aware your portrait would require a bespoke frame, made to order by your local framer. Postage is included in the price of portrait.

There is a 25% booking fee to secure your commission space. This deposit will be deducted from the final payment amount.

Pricing is based on one animal on a white background. Any additional objects are not included in the price.

(ie. horse collars, bridles or halters)

How It Works

Securing Your Booking...

First, we must ensure the photo(s) you have of your pet are acceptable for me to work from. They must be high-resolution, clear photos without filters. The more detailed, the better. Be sure to state the pose you prefer if you are sending various reference photos. Click here to learn what type of photos make for a winning portrait.

Once the photo(s) are approved and portrait details are agreed upon a Commission Agreement will be emailed to you and a 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your booking. (I accept PayPal, Credit Cards and Cash)

Once the deposit is received, the commission is booked for my next available date. I'm often booked months in advance so if you have a special date in mind, please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

The Drawing or Painting Process...

I will begin the drawing or painting process with an initial outline sketch. Once I begin applying color I will send you progress photos to ensure you are happy with the work. If you find something that you have concerns with or want to make a change, this is the time to let me know. Note that only one change is allowed without cost. Once the portrait is completed, I will send you a final proof and an invoice for the remaining balance. After the final payment is received I will carefully pack your portrait for delivery via CTT Post with tracking. I cover the cost of shipping however, if you would like to obtain insurance for your package, that is an additional fee. Please let me know if you would like to add insurance prior to shipping and I will give you the cost of full coverage insurance.

Note: There may be an additional customs/duty fee on your parcel once it arrives, which will be your responsibility to settle.
